WHAT TIME WILL THE BAND SETUP ON THE DAY?

As you get closer to your big day you may be wondering what time the band are going to arrive on the day for setup and soundcheck. This is largely up to you actually and you tell us this on the pre-wedding checklist that’s due about 4 or 5 weeks out. We’ll send a reminder about this around 8 weeks out. Here’s a little bit of a guideline to when we plan to be there on the day and how that all works.

GOLD PACKAGE

If you’ve got us booked all day starting at the ceremony, we’ll probably come about 90 minutes before hand and set everything up. So it could look this…

3pm ceremony start time : Setup between 1:30pm and 2:30pm, standing by for ceremony.

SILVER DANCE ONLY

If we’re just there for the evening dance then we’d be working back from when you and your guests are starting dinner. That’s the time they’re coming in from outside canapes etc and entering the main venue. So that could look like…

6pm dinner start time : Setup between about 4:45 and 5:30pm at the latest.

EXCEPTIONS

1. if the venue for whatever reason (usually space constraints) needs us to setup after dinner and speeches – perhaps while they clear a dance-floor area.
2. Where the dancing area is in an entirely separate space to where dinner and speeches take place. In that case we’d plan to arrive no later than an 80 minutes before first dance is scheduled.

In some cases we may arrive much earlier than this, but those timings above would be usual and certainly the latest we would plan to setup.
