HOW DO SONG CHOICES WORK?

WHO CHOOSES SONGS ON THE NIGHT?

Ultimately it’s something we really need to do. This is actually a big part of what we offer you – our ability and experience to choose the right songs at the right time for your group. A great song played to soon can crash! A surprisingly “cheesy” song played after carefully getting everyone on the floor can have everyone dancing and singing.

Picking this comes down to recognising our audience (Rock Crowd, Dance Crowd etc), seeing how many people are on the floor at the time, is the floor full of older or younger people right now, what nationality etc, etc. Because we do this over 200 times a year for groups the world over from Poland to Indonesia to Invercargill, we know from experience what people are likely to know and love.

Some times people go through our song list and highlight songs they like and songs they definitely don’t want. If you’d like, pop 2 or 3 songs you’d really like and perhaps a few rather not have. We’ll take this into account but if you want to have a great party with lots of dancing and singing along try not to limit the evening with your personal musical preferences and let us do it for you.

CAN I SELECT ALL THE SONGS I WANT FROM YOUR SETLIST?

This may seem like the best way to guarantee getting what you want, but what do you want most?

A. A band that will play all your songs like your favourite spotify playlist… but the dance-floor never really takes off and the whole evening is a bit disjointed.

or

B. A band who have the experience to pick the very strongest songs in every moment to get all the people that mean a lot to you not only dancing, but singing along, climbing on shoulders and hands in the air all night. This band will have your guests coming to you long after the night saying they never danced like that before!

So the short answer is no, we don’t work that way – we actually do something much more than that for you.

What we’re not saying is it’s our choices take it or leave it – we actually only want you to have the most optimal songs played.
