CHECK YOUR DATE HEREI know I was hesitant about a 2 piece band being able to hold a 150 strong captive audience, but as Katie advised ‘trust her’ – they didn’t fail to deliver, they were fantastic! Please do pass on our thanks to La Social, they kept the members up and dancing and ensured the evening flowed beautifully.
You were amazing at keeping the crowd involved and we had so many comments on how great you all were, from the relaxed canapés in the afternoon to the party that night, you suited the mood of our guests perfectly and we can’t thank you enough for that. You handled the crowd so so well and everyone loved hearing their favourite songs and having a good dance.

I just wanted to say a very big thank you for singing at the Essential Brands Group welcome evening for their 10th Birthday Celebration on February 10 at Bungy Dome. I honestly thought I was not going to get the group out of there that night as all they wanted to do was dance all night. No one wanted to leave and all during our time in Queenstown I constantly herd remarks of how great you were! You played such an array of wonderful music and as always it is great to see everyone get up dancing and enjoying themselves. LA Social truly are amazing. Thank you so much for helping make our night one to remember.

At least a dozen wedding guests said it’s the best band they’ve ever heard at a wedding, and the packed dance floor (including over 80 year old aunt) was testament to that.

Dave lived up to your reputation and after playing a great first dance song did great sets and a couple of encores which was lovely. It was a great night dancing, sorry about the dust!

The best thing about my experience with LA Social was not only the music and the way the band could read the room and play to the mood of the crowd, but also the way they really got into it themselves! Seeing the band jumping around and having a great time won the crowd over instantly and made everyone else want to jump around with them! Also a big thanks to the guitar player on the night for dropping my husband and I to the Emergency Room at the hospital at 11.30pm!!!! My husband started passing a kidney stone while I was jumping around to ‘Boom shake the room’! haha. Big thanks to him for dropping us off!!! Above and beyond the call of duty!!

Just wanted to say a Big Thanks to you for the show the Derek, Fiona and Tim put on, in our Saturday party. They were excellent and we all had a great time.
A lot of our guests commented on the artist who was playing during the ceremony! He did an amazing job. Best experience is a hard one because everything went so smoothly. I guess it could be how easy it was to organise, the pre wedding form literally covered everything so as long as that was filled out correctly, we didn’t have to email you guys back and forth which is awesome, you guys just showed up and did your thing. Totally glad we spent the extra money and got you guys to play over a DJ! It was so nice not having to worry anything, you guys know what your doing and you do it so well.
I had the pleasure of experiencing your band on the TSS Earnslaw on the night of Save the Titanic. You certainly rocked the boat. I loved the fact there was a wide age group and everyone was up dancing.In fact your band topped what was a excellent night.
LA Social are amazing. They made the night a huge success and everyone was up dancing from the first song onwards (including the groom’s 91 year old nana). Would not hesitate in booking again in the future! Highly recommended.

The way they read our guests and picked music to suit. The fact that they knew the venue and didn’t need anything from us, it gave us assurance that we didn’t need to worry about being the middle man between venue and band. They were fun, relaxed and energised our guest after a long day. The quality of performance and musicianship was better than we could have hoped. Thank you for being awesome!
LA Social were absolutely amazing. We received so many compliments on their behalf, everyone asking how and where we found them. They were surprised when we told them that it was all done through the internet and we had never heard them live previously. We never once doubted booking the band as their reviews were great, they came highly recommended by our chosen wedding venue and the demos that were posted on the website sounded perfect – exactly what we were looking for.
Lindsay and Ailsa entertained our guests during the canapés whilst my new husband Luke and I were having photos taken. Everyone loved them and asked if they would be coming back later in the evening. A few hours later Jodie the drummer joined them and with the first song everyone was up and dancing. This was the best thing about our experience with LA social, they could read the crowd and played song after song that you just had to get up and dance to. We had an awesome evening to follow up on our big day. One that we will never forget. We would like to thank you all for being a part of our wedding.

Brilliant acoustic for the ceremony, sounded great. Canapés we missed unfortunately but we got great feedback. And for the reception is was fantastic, great music and interaction with guests to get people up dancing.

The band was phenomenal. They were so lovely, accommodating and talented. Our guests enjoyed them so much and they were truly our nights saving grace. To have your band there, willing, happy and truly a representation of the wonderful New Zealand hospitality was such a contrasting privilege.
I am use to dealing with Lindsay and Ailsa for most of our events so it was great to be able to see some other performers on their team. I really enjoyed Andrea, Dave and Tim, they were able to read the crowd well and set a great atmosphere. They were very accommodating and would be happy to use them again.
What an amazing night, LA Social kept the night alive and we have had some raving comments about them and our wedding. The best thing was how wonderful they performed our first dance song, I so wish we could hear it again. They also kept everyone up dancing, the guy we had perform in the chapel did an outstanding job also, once again I only wish I could hear it again and fully appreciate the talent. We had LA Social for our wedding at Fiordland Lodge. They were absolutely unreal from start to finish. Easy to organise things with, very communicative and great with advice.

LA Social was absolutely amazing at our wedding! Their performance was full of energy, and they did a fantastic job setting the tone for the whole event. The best band around! I have seen them play many times at weddings and events and they were perfect for our Christmas Function. So fun and know how to entertain the crowd.
LA Social played a significant role in the success of what was a spectacular night of emotion, enlightenment and entertainment at the first annual dinner for the Louise Davie Charitable Trust in the Dunedin Town Hall (November 2024).
The band bookended the night perfectly, adding real energy to a night which was already on high octane.
Fantastic to have them on board. It was a terrific night - easily the best in the city this year and the band was at the forefront of that.

Not having to sit and look at lists of songs to play was brilliant. You really knew how to get everyone going and dancing and with out being told what songs we like, you smashed it. Where to start to describe our experience with LA Social!! From day 1 they were absolutely amazing to communicate with, with a super comprehensive website that tells you everything you need to know and more, no question was left unanswered! And then to the day of the wedding, they were absolutely on point! From banger after banger, the dance floor was packed from start to finish! There was never a single moment where there wasn’t a group going for it on the dance floor! And the interaction with our crew was the best, we felt like they were partying with us! The amount of our guests that came up to us asking who they were and where they were from!! Absolutely unreal guys, thank you again so much for everything!
